The Ridings High School has steadily and successfully built itself a satisfactory financial position, reflected in terms of a balance carry forward in line with DfES expectations.
Our priority is to ensure that students receive the very best education and as a result the majority of funding is spent on direct staff costs which represent approximately 80% of the annual school budget.
We seek to ensure there are sufficient funds to invest in facilities and buildings, and during the year the front of the school and the Technology block were extended, increasing both classroom and administration space.
Substantial funds are also spent on maintaining the school premises, including insurance, heating, lighting, cleaning, maintenance and security in order to maintain good standards of facilities for the school learning environment.
